  • Employers have until 31 March 2021 to sign up to the Government's rapid workplace testing scheme.  The scheme allows employers to order free lateral flow tests to administer in the workplace.   Full details are available here.
  • The National Minimum Wage rates are due to increase with effect from 1 April 2021.  The new rates are as follows:
National Living Wage (ages 23+)

Age 21 - 22 rate

  • The National Living Wage will be payable to all workers aged 23 years and over, a change from the current 25 years age threshold. 
  • Other statutory payments, such as statutory sick pay, statutory maternity (and other family leave) pay and a week's pay for statutory redundancy payments will also increase in April.   The full list of increases can be seen here.
